  1. This program only runs on COLOR system and requires an 80
  2. COLUMN SCREEN. Starting with version 3.10.
  3.  
  4. Version 2.02 fixes some color errors if you were running a
  5. mono system. Having color myself I did not get to test this
  6. 100% but saw it run on a mono system and spotted my errors.
  7. If you have a mono system and any trouble displaying this
  8. program please let me know so I can correct it.

  10. Version 2.03 I made some minor changes and most of these were
  11. to the opening and closing screens. This program no longer
  12. requires the BRUN30.EXE runtime library. It is now compiled
  13. under QuickBASIC 4.5 and is a stand-alone program. There was
  14. an earlier release of this version that required the BRUN30.EXE
  15. but decided against it.

  17. Version 3.00 This is a whole new version now written in Turbo
  18. Pascal 5.5. If you have any problems with this new version
  19. please let me know right away. I am always worried when I
  20. convert a program from one language to another. It is very
  21. difficult to test for every circumstance. I have done my best
  22. to support mono displays in this version, which should equal
  23. or surpass earlier versions. I also corrected an error when
  24. deleting the KENO.SCO score file. It was erasing the wrong
  25. file, or at least try to. I did not see this error until I
  26. was working on the conversion from QuickBASIC to Turbo Pascal.

  28. Version 3.10. This version is written in Turbo Pascal 7.0. I
  29. corrected an error in the Payoffs Display. Had some trouble with
  30. the mono support so it has been dropped, at least for this version.
  31. I don't believe it functioned properly in version 3.00. When
  32. testing for some many changes with a new version it is sometimes
  33. easy to miss the obvious.

  35. Version 3.11. Corrected a score file error. Score file has changed
  36. so if you are running an older copy please delete the KENO.SCO
  37. file either from DOS or from within the program. If you see a messed
  38. up score display please delete the score file to correct it. I have
  39. added the time to scores. When correcting the Payoffs display I
  40. created a new error that I did not catch at the time. The Payoff
  41. display is now correct. I hope! (grin)

  43. Version 3.20.  More changes in the score file and it is suggested
  44. that if you are currently using an earlier version that the score
  45. files be deleted from inside the program.
  46.  
  47. Many internal and display changes. Changed the exit screen so that
  48. the background color is now the user's background color. Looks better!
  49. Overall the program is more colorful and easier to understand.

  51. Added HUCKABEY.TXT to all my archives now so that all users get a list
  52. of my current software as of date on HUCKABEY.TXT. Also now contains
  53. an ARCHIVE.TXT so users know what should and should not be in the
  54. archive.

  56. Version 4.00. Corrected an error in the payoff routine that caused
  57. the program to crash if the winnings were too high. Had to make the
  58. values handled by the program larger.
  59.  
  60. Changed the score file again by adding the number of plays to the Top
  61. Ten. $9,999 in one turn is not the same as $9,999 in five turns.
  62. Wanted the user to see how many turns each player used. Make sure you
  63. erase the existing high score file (menu choice).

  65. A lot of program changes with this release, but the play remains pretty
  66. much the same. Much more color and hopfully more information clearly
  67. displayed. Please let me know if you have problems with this release.

  69. Version 4.01. Fixed a major bug in the play routine. If a users picked
  70. new numbers only previous number from 1 to 15 were blanked. This caused
  71. extra number to remain as picked number, and these were in addtion to
  72. the regular picks. I do not know how long this error was in the program,
  73. might even have been there as far back as the QuickBASIC versions.

  75. Changed the total format and added commas the make them easier to read.
  76. Added still more color to the Top Ten display. THE SCORE FILE HAS NOT
  77. BEEN CHANGED.
